Yesterday was another positive day for baseball...a small one...+ $10 bucks for a $50 dollar bettor but that beats losing any day.

MisterMJ Opening Day MLB ...and Things Are Going to Hella Change Around Here

I love keeping things simple.... so here goes...straight from the heart. 

1. I'm on a new mission here to turn this into a true sports handicapping blog... with steady and quality Free content including handicapping info and system picks.

2. I will no longer be selling MisterMJ System Picks. This blog will always be free and I intend to work in some of my old systems here.

3. For this MLB season I will start by tracking "Select"April Dogs. (Yeah I know it's March...work with me ) Select means only dogs within a +128 to +180 window. The reason for this is it has been shown this is the Dog sweet spot of best value. 
And the reason to pick Dogs in March and April is...nobody really knows anything yet. There should be some value in just picking the most optimal dog lines. Let's see what happens.

I do not recommend that you just blindly bet these...let's track them and start learning something for our long term education. You and I. 

To keep it real...I will use Wagerline to document the system picks using their mostly realistic live lines.

North Texas qualifies with the ATS Scan tonight. 

Looking back on the ATS scan it really kicked into high gear during the Start of the Conference Tournaments and March Madness. Currently 26-15-0 63.4% ATS since March 5.

So...don't let that overall record fool you...and next season this will be a go to system starting with the Conference Tournaments. 

I'm going to stop selling picks ... and go to  giving the basic scans away for Free.

 I'm starting to have fun again...I have to look at all of this in a different way. I'm changing the way I handicap...changing the way that I look at all of this really.

MisterMJ NCAAB Futures Bet Sweet 16 3/21

I'm curious if I can find value on a NCAAB futures bet based on the remaining teams in the Sweet 16.

Odds are from oddsshark at the time of this posting.

In my opinion the PPG scan has been a pretty good predictor of future performance in this Tournament so I'm looking at the remaining teams for value on a futures bet to win the Championship.

Using this method and my interpretation of it...I would place Kentucky +700 and Duke +325 as the two best bets based on recent performance with my PPG scan.

 Gonzaga +700 and Villanova +375 would be the next two in that order.

There are many ways to do this...lets just say for illustration purpose I am going with the top two... Kentucky+700 and Duke +325.

If either wins I am guaranteed +200 at worst. 

Let's see how this does and file it away for next season after I summarize it later.

Nothing in the NCAA today.

Nothing in the NBA but I did notice Atlanta +14 tonight. In general anything over 13 points is really something to look at for me.

I think Utah is in a good spot to under perform tonight. They are in a long period of over performance without a let down. What better team to let up on than Atlanta right now?

Atlanta +14 is arguable value in my opinion. 

Just sayin....it's not a pick that I will document...but worth looking at.

Attached below is a screenshot of my bracket based on some pretty extensive analysis including recent history of teams that win, SRS, PPG, offensive / defensive efficiency, and coaching history.

It's all based on good solid educated guesses based on handicapping fundamentals.

Copy it...use it for match ups you are unsure about...whatever helps you.

Another winner yesterday...now we've had four winners in a row. I didn't expect this kind of volatility. I expected a much smoother experience with a solid winning bias.

We'll see how this shapes up.

 I'm also watching PPG differentials and tracking ATS margin differentials in the back ground and I may use these to tighten things up if I have to.

FWIW Stanford comes up in both ATS margin differential and PPG differential tonight. It might be worth a look...especially if you see something else you like there.
